Connecticut
Flower and Garden Show One of the largest and most prestigious flower shows in all of New England, the “30th annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show” will be held Thursday, February 24 through Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Connecticut Convention Center on 100 Columbus Blvd. in Hartford, Conn. The hours are: Thursday, February 24 from- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, February 25 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, February 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
California
San Francisco, CASan Francisco Flower and Garden Show- March 23 - 27, 2011 at the San Mateo Event Center, 2495 South Delaware Street, San Mateo The San Francisco Flower Show came back with a flourish last year, thanks to some very devoted gardening pros. This year will be even bigger. The Theme is "Life in the California Garden", with 200 vendors and 75 seminars and films. There will also be 6,000 sq ft. of Edible Garden displays and a new feature, "Garden to Table", with cooking demos by famous Bay Area chefs, including Alice Waters.
Colorado
Colorado Springs, CO Colorado Springs Home & Garden Show - February 12 - 20, 2011 at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street, Denver With 1,400 booths, 50 seminars and over an acre of display gardens, plan to spend some time soaking in all this show has to offer. 100% of every ticket sold is awarded in horticulture grants and scholarships across Colorado.Connecticut
Hartford, CTConnecticut Flower & Garden Show - February 24 - 27, 2011 at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Ave. "Capture the Magic" is the theme for the 30th Annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show. There will be over 250 garden vendors, about 80 hours worth of seminars with some big names, like Roger Swain, and 45,000 sq. ft. of displays to remind you that spring is just around the corner. Bring a 1/2 cup of soil for free soil testing.
Florida
Orlando, FLEpcot® International Flower & Garden Festival - March 2 – May 156, 2011, Epcot Center, Orlando All the Disney attractions are known for never having a flower out of place, so you can just imagine what it's like when they decide to put on a show. All the Disney characters get in on the fun. Bambi’s Butterfly House is double the size of last year's Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden, with near 700 butterflies flitting about you. Also look for the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden, the Pirates Adventure Zone and The Great American Gardeners Series of seminars. About's Guide to Florida shares some photos from the 2008 show.

Boise, IDBoise Flower & Garden Show - March 25 - 27, 2011 at Boise Centre on the Grove Along with the many displays and seminars, look for the acclaimed Bonsai Exhibition, and orchid show and sale, the kids craft corner and Wine & Jazz Nights on Friday and Saturday.
Illinois
Chicago, ILThe Chicagoland Flower and Garden Show - March 5 - 13, 2011 at the Navy Pier, Chicago This year's theme, "The Sport of Gardening", promises some invigorating displays and maybe a bit of sportsman like competition, as displays pay homage to Chicago's pro teams, the Hawks, da Bears and the Cubs.
Kansas
Wichita, KansasWichita Garden Show - March 2 -6, 2011 at the Century II Civic Center This year's theme is "Know and Grow", which is what gardening is all about. This show prides itself on having the exhibits and experts to inspire and motivate you, whether you want to garden yourself or are looking for outside help.
Maryland
Timonium, MD ONE OF THE LARGEST HOME & GARDEN SHOWSEach spring and fall, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees come together at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The March show marks the end of winter and start of spring and warmer weather with beautiful landscaped gardens, home improvement contractors, plants, crafts, and much more. The fall show in October takes you into the cooler months with fall gardens, home improvement project ideas, crafts and better living exhibits. Worcester, MAThe Central Massachusetts Flower and Patio Show - March 4 - 6, 2011 at the DCU Center- formally The Worcester Center The Central MA Flower Show is now the Flower and Patio Show, which should tell you that there's something for everyone, no matter how much space you have to garden. The theme is "Dream Garden Getaways", which as we all know, can be in our own backyards.
Boston, MABoston Flower and Garden Show March 16 - 20, 2011 at the Seaport World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Boulevard The Massachusetts Horticultural Society (MHS) will be presenting BLOOMS 2011, with the theme "A Burst of Color: Celebrating the Container Garden" There will be displays, hands-on workshops, competitions and seminars.
New Jersey
Edison, NJThe Flower & Garden Show of New Jersey - Feb 17 - 20, 2011 at the NJ Convention and Expo Center This year's theme of "Gardens on Broadway" promises a lot of spectacle. This is a great showcase for the Jersey area. Don't miss the Plant Sale on Sunday (5 to 6 PM), when many of the showcased plants and garden accessories will be offered for sale.
New York
Rochester, NYGardenScape - March 17 - 20, 2011 at The Dome Center, just outside downtown Rochester Often compared to the Philadelphia Flower Show, GardenScape has been listed in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal as 'one of the best flower shows in the country.' The theme is "Eye of the Garden" and they will once again be bringing you "Alien Nature", a renowned exhibit by artists Rodrigo Pedrolli and Michael Murphree: "Our works are a compelling fresh photographic look at flowers and nature 'manipulated and transformed' into pieces that are dynamic, exotic and sometimes erotic; a surreal look at everyday common flora."
Syracuse, NYCNY Blooms March 3 - 6, 2011 at the OnCenter Complex at the War Memorial, Syracuse. CNY stands for Central New York and it is the CNY Nursery & Landscape Association that is sponsoring this show. The emphasis is on the environment and education, with competitions, local college participation, garden clubs and speakers. They have a great line-up of display gardens, speakers and a wonderful Children’s Discovery Garden.
Troy, NYCapital District Flower & Garden Show - March 25 - 27, 2011 at the Hudson Valley Community College This show is known for its excellent seminars and the opportunity for individuals and groups to familiarize themselves with the area's major growers. The local Master Gardeners will do soil testing for $1 and there's a Tips for the New Gardeners feature. New this year, New York State wineries will be participating in the marketplace.
North Carolina
Charlotte, NCSouthern Spring Home & Garden Show - March 2 - 6, 2011 at The Park, (formerly the Charlotte Merchandise Mart) This show just past its 50th anniversary year and the garden portion will feature 24 magnificently landscaped gardens. This Home and Garden Show encompasses a little of everything, from indoor/outdoor design to travel and shopping. There's a Green Marketplace with plants, tools and other temptations.
Ohio
Cleveland, OHCleveland Botanical Landscape Fair and Plant Sale - Dates TBA 2012 at the CBG on University Circle (Held every other year.) The Cleveland Botanical Flower Show was modeled after the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and was the largest outdoor flower show in North America. The CBG show is held every other year, so stay tuned for info on the 2012 show. For now we'll have to be satisfied with photos, as Sandy Mitchell, About’s Guide to Cleveland, shares her peak at the garden displays in 2007.
Oregon
Portland, ORYard, Garden & Patio Show - February 18 - 20, 2011 at the Oregon Convention Center This show is produced by the local growers and gardening experts of The Oregon Association of Nurseries, who want us to "Bring Life Outside". Nine display gardens, 250 exhibitors and Cracked Pots Art Sale, Small Garden Vignette Displays and a Kids Digs section are just some of the highlights. This show is designed for gardeners of all abilities, with any size garden. The idea is to "beautify your home & garden from the outside in".
Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PAThe Philadelphia International Flower Show March 6 - 13, 2011 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center This is still the big one. Ten acres of displays and wares, plus great seminars. If you're looking to escape somewhere romantic this spring, the theme for 2011 is "Springtime in Paris". Bring your rose colored glasses.
Rhode Island
Providence, RIThe Rhode Island Spring Flower and Garden Show February 24 - 27, 2011 at the RI Convention Center This year's show is themed "Gardening with Heart" and they are indeed partnering with the American Heart Association. The gardens are inspired by movies to tug at your heart strings, like An Affair to Remember, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind and Sleepless in Seattle.
Tennessee
Nashville, TNNashville Lawn & Garden Show March 3 - 6, 2011 at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds The theme of “Here We Grow Again!” is the perfect choice for this show's 22nd outing. Naturalized gardens, hundreds of vendors, seminars throughout the days and a floral design gallery are some of the highlights.
Vermont
Essex Junction, VTVermont Flower Show March 4 - 6, 2011 at the Champlain Valley Exposition, Essex Junction You're in luck! This show is held every other year and for 2011, the theme is "Sweet Dreams". They are promising fragrance, woodland walks and "childhood memories of fantasy and imagination". Sounds worth the wait.
Virginia
Richmond, VAThe Annual Maymont Flower & Garden Show February 10 - 13, 2011 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center Exhibit Hall Produced by the same folks who do the New Jersey show, the theme is "Gardens on Broadway", promising drama and flair, along with lots of vendors, seminars and displays.
Virginia Beach, VAVirginia Flower & Garden Show March 4 - 6, 2011 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center They've combined the Home Show and the Flower and Garden Show into one giant show. The theme of "Specialty Gardens" should offer something for everyone. And there are entry display, window box and floral display competitions, in case you want to be a part of the show yourself.
Washington, DC
District of ColumbiaWashington Home and Garden Show March 11 - 13, 2011 at the Washington, DC Convention Center They say it's the largest garden show on the east coast, with acres of display gardens and over 800 vendors representing 41 states. Seattle, WANorthwest Flower and Garden Show February 3 - 7, 2011 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, 7th & Pike This is the 3rd largest flower and garden show in North America. With 6 acres, 25 full-scale gardens and over 120 free seminars, look for tips on how to conserve and create a sustainable lifestyle with native plants, organic vegetable gardens, creative recycling and composting. Back by popular demand, "Funky Junk" horticulture displays.
Spokane, WAGarden Expo 2009 May 14, 2011 at Spokane Community College Lair, 1810 N. Greene Street, Spokane. The Garden Expo is held annually, the 2nd Saturday in May. I love this year's theme of "Gardening–That’s Entertainment–Anything Goes". There will be over 200 garden-related vendors, including nurseries, garden stores, suppliers and manufactures, garden artists and crafters, and horticulture organizations, as well as garden experts to answer all your questions.
